This is a story about a scarf. It belongs to Eugenia Opuda, a librarian and artist based in Portland, Maine. Her mother started knitting the scarf for her, but passed away before she was able to finish it. She found the scarf when she was going through her mother’s house, and put it in her closet – where it has remained unfinished for nearly ten years. But this year, Eugenia feels she might be ready to change that.
